In this easy Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Pie, I am using a sugar free Jello chocolate pie filling mix. I normally make things from scratch but I thought I’d make a super quick and easy version so that this pie can be made in a matter of minutes. Easy Peasy!

Helpful Tips and FAQs

Can I substitute the Chocolate Pudding with other flavours?

In this quick recipe, I use a boxed sugar free pie filling mix. Feel free to substitute it for Sugar Free Vanilla, Cheesecake, White Chocolate or Caramel flavour. Staying with the Sugar Free Jello brand will keep the nutritional information close to what is listed here. To double-check the impact on carbs when substituting pie filling flavours, compare your chosen product with the Sugar Free Chocolate Fudge Jello.

Can I use a different crust recipe?

The nutritional information provided below is for the recipe as stated in this post, using the Sugar Free Chocolate Crumb Crust.. You can substitute the sugar-free chocolate crumb crust with a crust of your choice but always be mindful that any changes you make may alter the nutritional information.

Can I use a different sweetener?

As I always mention. I use Splenda Granulated Zero Calorie sweetener as it does not increase my blood glucose levels. I find that sweeteners that contain sugar alcohols elevate my blood sugar. Sometimes it is as if I ate a non-sugar-free product. If this is not a concern for you, by all means, use your favourite sweetener. Any substitution can alter the final nutritional information.

How do I store my Sugar Free Chocolate Cream Pie?

Store this pie covered and refrigerated for up to 5 days. I find that after a few days it starts to become liquidy. For the best result, use within the first couple of days. Cover with plastic wrap or place in an airtight container.

Can I freeze this pie?

You can, but I don’t recommend it. During thawing, the pie can become runny and the filling can separate. If you are looking to save time, I recommend only freezing the crust. Making the filling only takes a few minutes and the rest of the time is chilling time.
