In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the milk and stir.
Add the sweetener and mix well.
Bring to a simmer.
Whisk in the Xanthan Gum.
Simmer for about 30 minutes. It should be thickened.
Remove from heat and let cool.
