If you saw our post on How to Make Diabetic-Friendly Choices at Taco Bell, you will already know that the Baja Blast is far from diabetic-friendly. As Taco Bell phases out the Baja Blast Zero Sugar, we kick our kitchen into copycat mode. My daughter loves the Taco Bell Baja Blast but not the calories and carbs, so we decided not to miss out on the great flavour, but kick the calories and carbs to the curb. Now that we have a delicious Sugar Free Baja Blast Recipe, she can enjoy her favourite Taco Bell Beverage anytime she wants.

- Sugar-Free Mountain Dew
- Gatorade Zero – Cool Blue
- Crystal Light Lemon Lime singles (or similar products such as Sunkist Zero Sugar lemon lime singles)

Sugar Free Baja Blast Recipe
Ingredients
- 1.5 cuos Sugar Free Mountian Dew
- 1 cup Cool Blue Powerade Zero
- 1/2 packet Crystal Light Lemon Lime Singles
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup Ice
Instructions
- Mix the liquid ingredients together.
- Dissolve the half packet of Crystal Light singles in the liquid
- Pour Over crushed ice.
To make a Sugar Free Baja Blast Freeze
- together.Mix the sugar free Mountain Dew, Gatorade Zero and crystal light
- Pour into a blender with 2 cups of ice.
- Pulse into slush.
- Enjoy!

How many calories and carbs are in our Sugar Free Baja Blast Recipe? ZERO!
Zero Calories, Zero carbs and the zeros go on and on. Gatorade (G Zero) made by Pepsico, does have electrolyte replacement benefits. The electrolyte replacement benefit with G Zero is the same as the regular Gatorade. So the great thing is that if you’re looking to rehydrate and replenish but don’t need the sugar and guilt, you can enjoy a sugar-free Baja blast.

Can’t find Crytal Light Lemon Lime Singles?
Crystal Light Lemon Lime singles can be hard to find in the USA. If you can’t find it, you can substitute it with Sunkist Lemon Lime Singles or something similar.
Can I make a big batch?
Yes, you can easily double or triple this recipe. do not add the ice. Only mix the liquid ingredients and pour over ice as you serve. Due to the carbonation of the Sugar-Free Mountain Dew, this does not store well. The Sugar Free Baja Blast loses its carbonation and goes flat if not served right after making.
What do I do with leftover Baja Blast Mix?
Our Sugar Free Baja Blast recipe also makes great popsicles. Pour the leftover mix into popsicle moulds with sticks and freeze. Use it whenever you need to chill out and cool off.
Can I use Powerade instead of Gatorade?
You can use Zero Sugar Powerade Mountain Berry or other blue zero-sugar Powerade. Keep in mind that if you change ingredients, the flavour will also change.
How to make a Copycat Sugar Free Baja Blast Freeze
Place 2 cups of ice into a blender. Pulse until ice is crushed.
Add the Sugar Free Baja Blast recipe ingredients. Pulse for a few more seconds.
Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately.
Garnishes for your Sugar Free Baja Blast
This drink looks awesome with a lemon slice or a lime slice, cut and added to the side of the glass with an umbrella skewer. This is especially popular with kids.
Place a couple of strawberries, a wedge of lemon and a slice of kiwi on a drink skewer and place across the top of the glass.
