Expert Tips and FAQs
Substitutions
Lemon Sorbet : You can substitute the lemon sorbet for any other sugar-free sorbet.
Raspberry Sauce : You can easily substitute the sugar free raspberry sauce with another sugar free fruit sauce of your choice.
Using Store Bought Sorbet or Sauce.
If you opt for a store-bought sorbet or sauce, ensure they are sugar-free. many store-bought sorbets contain a large amount of sugar. The nutritional information will be impacted, so you may need to calculate the values for yourself.
What to use if you don’t have silicone moulds
Small Dixie-type cups or small plastic juice cups work great in place of moulds. Place a popsicle stick into the mixture in the cup and place them on a tray to freeze. To hold the sticks straight, a clothespin is ideal. Muffin tins are also popular but I find that they are difficult to handle after they are frozen if being given to small children. Small yogurt cup containers that have been thoroughly washed are excellent for popsicle forms. You can also use freezie pouches to turn this recipe into freezies.
Storing instructions
Store popsicles in a large Ziploc freezer bag or an airtight container in the freezer for up to one month.
