Getting the right Popsicle Moulds
You can use any shape or size, but the stick is important whenever you are making layers of flavours. Choose a mould with a removable cover, like our silicone one, with holes for the sticks. Once the first layer is frozen you can easily remove the cover and continue adding layers. If you already have a mould that does not have a removable cover, you can substitute the sticks with plain popsicle sticks and use wooden skewers to hold them in the center while the first layer freezes.

Adding the stick.
My popsicle moulds came with a silicone snap-on cover for the mould. The slots for the sticks allow for perfect placement of the stick. Add the first layer and then freeze. Peel back the cover and repeat with the second and third layers.
Getting Bold Colours.
To ensure you have brilliantly coloured sugar free bomb pops, add a drop of blue food colouring to the blue mixture and a drop or two of red to the red layer.

Easy Unmoulding
Once you have removed the pops from the freezer, allow them to sit a room temperature for a few minutes (2-3). They should easily pull from the mould. If using a silicone mould, pull the mould away from the sides and carefully push up the pop, until it releases from the mould.
Suggestions for making Sugar Free Bomb Pops without a mould
You won’t get a traditional-looking popsicle, but kids can have fun making their own shapes and moulds out of food-safe things they find around the house.
- small plastic juice cups
- small paper Dixie cups
- fold a small plastic treat bag into a tube and place it in a paper tube (a paper towel tube that has been cut), with the edges of the bag over the top edge of the tube, and fill.
- Muffin Tins
- Icing bags that have not had the tip cut out.
Soring Instructions.
Store your sugar free bomb pops in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. For the best results, individually wrap each one in plastic wrap, to limit the amount of exposure to the air. If you are not wrapping them individually, place a layer of wax paper between the pops to keep them from sticking together.
