Helpful Tips and FAQs
Butter Alternatives
I have recently tried reducing the amount of seed oils that I consume. It is no easy task. I have chosen butter for this reason for this recipe. You can easily substitute the butter with your favourite cooking oil, without affecting the recipe. make sure the oil you choose has a high smoke point to avoid burning.
Types of Steak that work well.
Any lean steak will work well. My first choices are Flank, Blade, Skirt or Round Steak. Our Low Carb beef Stroganoff recipe is a great choice for using budget-friendly cuts of beef.
Sauce Thickeners
I have chosen King Arthur Keto Wheat Flour for its low carb quality and comparison to regular flour. If you like the sauce thicker, you can add a teaspoon of all-purpose flour or cornstarch. Keep in mind that this will alter the net carbs.
