Cheesecakes, ice cream, in yogurt, and even thickened up and used as jam.
These easy sauces can be used as flavouring in yogurt. Just add a tablespoon to a plain yogurt with a little sweetener and give it a good stir. This makes a great flavoured yogurt without compromising taste and still eliminating sugar.
Use it as a topping for our Sugar-Free Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake or on top of our low-carb pancake recipe.
The flavour you get from making your own sugar free raspberry sauce will surpass anything you can get in the store and it is healthier. Raspberries are available year-round, so just make the sauce as you need it whenever you need it.

How to Make Sugar Free Raspberry Sauce
In these instructions, we use fresh raspberries. If you are using frozen raspberries, see the note below.
Measure out and wash your raspberries and allow them to drip dry.
Add the raspberries, sweetener, water and lemon juice to a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
Using a potato masher crush the raspberries as they start to break apart.
If you want a thick sauce, add the unflavored gelatin while the sauce is simmering. If you don’t need a thick sauce, there is no need to add the gelatin.
Remove the pan from the heat and allow the sauce to cool.
Using Frozen Raspberries You can substitute fresh raspberries with frozen ones. Keep the amount the same≥ Thaw and drain as much liquid as possible from the raspberries before using. If you want to use the drained raspberry liquid in place of the water, you can. reduce the water to 2 tbsp. If you find the sauce too thick after making it, add water as necessary.
Sugar Free Raspberry Sauce
Equipment
- Small saucepan
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups Fresh Raspberries
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 Tbsp Water
- 1/4 cup Splenda Granulated Sweetener
- 1 tsp Unflavoured Gelatin – Optional
Instructions
- Wash and dry raspberries.
- Add raspberries, sweetener, lemon juice and water in a small saucepan.
- Simmer over medium heat.
- Lightly mash the raspberries and simmer for a few more minutes.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, add gelatin.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Storing Instructions
Store sugar-free raspberry sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
freeze your raspberry sauce in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one month. When thawing the raspberry sauce, you may need to remove some of the liquid as sometimes freezing can make it watery.
To freeze in small batches for use in things like yogurt, sauce on ice cream or desserts freeze the raspberry sauce in ice cube trays, and Store in a large Ziploc bag.
